Our new addition...

Well, it's been a week since I delivered Caroline and I figured it was time for me to update on our family. Last Friday, the 18th of July, I was scheduled to be induced at 6:00 a.m. I woke up around 2:30 not feeling great and much to my surprise I began having contractions at 3:00 a.m. I timed them for a while, got in the shower and by 4:30 was out and telling David it was time. We got there 40 mins before I was scheduled to be there. I explained that I was in labor and that the contractions were coming every 5 to 6 mins. That apparently didn't matter because I waited for 40 mins crying and in pain. Once I was back in a room, my contractions became more intense, but because I had not had my bag of fluids, they couldn't give me the epidural. I was able to get a little relief with stadol...but I will not take that again. I felt completely out of my mind. They gave me my epidural around 7:30 and checked to see if I had dilated...I went from 4 cm to 8 cm in an hour and a half....but the epidural caused me to stall so they did give me a little pitocin to kick me over the 8 cm mark. Everything went smooth and I was able to push her out in 3 pushes...sorry if that was too graphic! Recovery has been great and I am feeling back to my old self. Here are some pics from Caroline's first days...
She's here!
Parker finally getting to hold his baby sister...he has on a big brother shirt that is embroidered with, "I'm the Big Brother" and it has the Memphis Tiger emblem on it! Caroline will have a matching onesie soon.
Aunt LaLa and Uncle Biggs...their daughter Gracely is exactly 6 weeks older than Caroline.
Finally out of the hospital bed.

Tomorrow our life will change!

Well, the big day has finally arrived. We will be checking into the hospital tomorrow at 5:45 a.m. for my induction. There are so many emotions going through my body right now that I don't even know where to begin. I am very excited about meeting my daughter and watching her and Parker grow up together. I am very nervous about the delivery...mainly because my delivery with Parker went so well that I am scared that the epidural won't work this time. I know....a little pessimistic. I am overjoyed that after these long 9 months, I will FINALLY get to see what my daughter looks like and if she has hair:) My list of emotions could go on and on, but I won't bore you. Check for an update the laptop is going with us to the hospital!

Is she ever going to come???

Well, another week and no baby. Doc says I am still 3 cm and between 60 and 70% effaced. Baby Caroline weighs 6lbs and 11oz right now. I will be induced next Friday, the 18th, if I have not had her before then. We visited labor and delivery last night because I could have SWORN I was in labor. Much to my dismay, I was not. And I felt like an idiot! You would think I would know since this is my second go at this.

On a side note, I am in total denial that DeAnna picked Jesse! I am LIVID...Jason was way better for her. HA HA

Well...the waiting game begins

I went to the doc today for my 36 week check up and the news is..........I am 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced. My doc does not think I will go past the end of next week and there is a possibility of a 4th of July weekend baby:) I am a little on pins and needles now. And David is a little stressed to say the least! This is all new territory for us because with Parker I was induced. I have an appointment next Tuesday for an ultrasound to check baby weight and we will discuss inducing then if I haven't gone into labor by then. But the doc was pretty sure I will be going on my own this time. I can't believe the time is near and that there will be a little addition to our family. I will keep you all posted!
